WANDERLUST

I've always had a serious case of wanderlust, the desire to explore and travel. Only in the last few years has it really become almost an obsession for me. I find myself constantly dreaming about getting away, about journeying to the far reaches of the world, about experiencing new cultures.

There are so many things I want to see. I want to spend a summer in Europe; discovering the museums and cafes of Paris, the canals of Amsterdam, the cathedrals of Prague and Vienna, the ruins of Rome, the graffiti-filled streets of Berlin, the gondolas of Venice..

I dream of seeing all the places I've always heard stories about throughout my childhood. Actually setting my feet on the ground where history has taken place, that's a pretty amazing thing in itself. Things like that sends shivers down my spine, as I imagine the events of a hundred or thousand years ago.

I want to travel through the chaos that is South East Asia; as I witness the hedonism of Thailand, learn the painful history of Vietnam and Cambodia and feel the sun on my skin in Laos. I want to volunteer at the deaf school in Sri Lanka, and pay a visit to the tea factories.

I want to go all the way across the world and spend a few months in Australia, visiting my family and going to see the magnificent Great Barrier Reef, the laidback city life of Sydney, the beaches of the Gold Coast. Then cross the sea to New Zealand, and see the mountains where they filmed Lord of the Rings.

I could go on and on. There's so much more I could put up here.

The truth is.. there's just so much to see. And that's the beauty of it. No matter where we are in the world, we can always escape. There's so much to discover, and it's all out there, waiting for us.

A great adventure.

Dream. Explore. Discover.

  1. I had that when I was younger. As I got older, started to run a business I travelled less, especially the fact that I don't earn much money but I still love travelling. my two months travels in India was amazing. I would totally love to visit Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos too xx
