Interior Inspiration

I've always loved interior design, albeit my serious lack of skill in this particular area. I've always been attracted to the idea of expressing your personality through how you decorate your home, and lately I've been slowly transforming my room into a haven of personal treasures.

It's still not quite there yet; as I want to paint all the walls white, add some more furniture and some wall decoration. I've been turning to Pinterest for inspiration, and let me say, I have been spending some nights literally just repinning things to my Interiors board! I'm really drawn to quite minimalist interiors, with splashes of colour here and there, and a few personal treasures scattered around the room. I've got an adorable silver cat money box for the crazy cat lady side of me, and an Eiffel Tower ring plate to show my love of France. Along with that, there are a few postcards (I collect them from every country I ever visit!), an awesome vintage map from Amsterdam, and of course, loaaaads of books. I can't wait to get my own place so I can decorate every inch of it rather than the one room I call my own at home! Here are a few of my favourite Pinterest images.

Maybe once my room has reached the look and feel I'm going for, I may take a few photos if you're interested in that? Let me know. I'd love to share other things on this blog rather than just outfit posts!

  1. Love all of these, I've started using Pinterest a lot more for inspiration for my room too. It's far too addicting though, completely agree with you though about wanting your own place so you can decorate it all instead of just one room! Found this really interesting, would love to see more!

  2. Love these! Next year in my uni room I'm definitely putting quotes everywhere around my desk. It's simple but looks so lovely.

  3. Been going to Pinterest for interior inspiration too! My flat is just lovely with a bit sprucing up needed but money has always been an issue to making the flat entirely "my home". Most of all I am dying to BUY so no restrictions by landlord/lady!
